Just as a tree draws moisture and nutrients from the soil in order to grow, then create blossoms and fruit, so too our digestive tract is a key determinant to our health and ability to shine with that health!
Poor soil leads to sad, withered trees. Poor digestion leads to depleted health.
I never ignore digestive symptoms whether they be acute or chronic (just ask my kids about my poop obsession! Poor things…) Too often, by improving digestive health in my patients we see skin clear up, moods brighten, brain fog dissipate, joint pain fade away, sleep quality improve, and energy ramp up to vital and supportive once more.
Underlying conditions that may be affecting your digestion include small intestine bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), yeast or fungal overgrowth, a less specific “dysbiosis” (“life imbalance” referring to alterations in the microbiome), a lack of enzyme flow from the pancreas, a lack of bile flow from the liver, scarring, and the list goes on and on. Determining the root cause helps to make the treatment more specific and effective.
If you feel bloated, or have reflux, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain or discomfort, are overly gassy either in terms of belching/burping or through excess flatulence then please don’t push grin and bear it!
